With over 35 years of experience in the food industry, Hiro Tadamasa, Founder and Managing Director of PFI Co.,Ltd., has expertise in natural food ingredients.
In his many years of experience, he has
  • Carried out development implementation of major projects related to natural food colours such as Annatto, Cochineal, Red cabbage, etc.

  • Instructed and trained laboratory and production staff.

  • Provided technical consultings on applications of both artificial and natural colours.

  • Organised Kenya Bixa Ltd., in Kenya, for the manufacturing of norbixin powder and bixin powder.

  • Examined Natural Gum in Sudan and Chad for use as an emulsifier, and seaweed in the Canary Islands and Tanzania for colouring material and stabiliser.

  • Visited more than 40 countries for research and other business purposes, and established relationships with many food ingredients suppliers and manufacturers around the world.
Prior to establishing Peregrine Food Ingredients Ltd., he worked for San-Ei Chemical Ind. Ltd.(now; San-Ei Gen FFI) in Japan, Christian Hansen, Lab. in Denmark and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Toyota Group) in Japan, Kenya and U.K.
